Interesting Websites for Lesson Plans
Sharing my personal experience, regarding the websites given for exploration.
I have found them informative and user friendly. Out of
these I like this one as it has wonderful ideas for IT integration, resources
used for the lesson plans are quite interesting. It allows teacher and students
to share responsibilities equally amongst themselves.
Most of the lessons that I have gone through, are based on
constructivism approach. Students are being challenged to investigate, explore
and jot down their findings, while working collaboratively and at the same time
taking risks in decision making. They are using technology and hands on
activities side by side.
Beside this I explored another
site:
Here I found an amazing idea of using , “ Virtual Labs”
.Before this I had the routine to search these websites:
Education
World

Discovery Education

I have used online games also ,but “Virtual Labs” I have never used before, Very
challenging questions are posed are students are allowed to use these labs and
investigate.
However, in some situation I came across with extensive
planning and activities that are not possible in our country due to different
reasons, like culture, security issues, religion etc. I believe here comes the
true essence of a teacher. A creative and innovative teacher can mould the
plans to fit it to her/his situation. That’s what great teachers are doing all
around the world , picking ideas, reshaping it and applying it,evaluating it
and again ready to experiment. This is how life of a teacher is going on-----
What do you think?
